Some after thoughts of the present journey and education today.

Graz. Austria. Johanneumuseum: Natural History permanent exhibition and an exhibit on the theme of Landscapes, New Gallery. (part 1)

The theory of the Sun’s self extinction and the gradual creation of agglomerated fragments to form the planets. The inner alchemist work of Earth soil till oxygen is formed.
Everything is subdued to the laws of gravitation and centrifugal movement. All species have a common departing point. All have a common ground as they come from soil, breath live and die. All species are formed into groups participating in filling the air, the water and earth with a common fiery energy. Within a particular species, individuals differ, in harmony with the law of differentiation. Species, as part of the cosmos, are subdued to the laws of gravitation and centrifugal movement. Evolution is playful and dynamic. We have all some dinosaurs fish and bird in us… Homo Sapiens Sapiens (mingling with the Neanderthal) appears in Africa, evolve in Asia and then migrates. The white yellow and red skinned were all black in the past.

Earth was once unified and so was its ocean.
But transmutation is a Law of Existence and so Earth separated into multiple fragments, which later clashed, forming the chains of mountains, volcanoes, earthquake and other visual earthly phenomena.:rocks, as an example, appearing on the cortex of Earth, were pulled into the fiery furnace of its center, then spit again towards the surface, undergoing the transmutation, which may teach a wonderful lesson – the lesson of inter-relatedness, inter-connection, erasing all theories and beliefs which are based on defined, finite and linear ideologies.
Forced separation between the studies of science, humanities and theology, results in mystified and erroneous concepts, which are the core of conflicts, racism, the killing of people and animals.
Education should not only deal with the interdisciplinary benefits but revolutionize its methodology, blurring the forced separations among the fields of research.

The exhibit on landscapes wishes to emphasize the different points of view when envisaging landscape …
In a sense, this exhibit may likewise mirror the theme of gravitation, centrifugal movement and transmutation.
One sees the world according to its collective and personal context within a given space and time context.
The few wise people may see and understand the context, while understanding and sensing that this context is just a point of view but obviously cannot encapsulate the interminable fluid process of change, opening the mind and heart towards diversity.

Only diversity leads to Tolerance.

Landscape can serve as a personal and collective documentation, a religious sacred and mythic place – sometimes related to reality and some other times – related to the surreal and super-natural.
Landscape thus can be grasped as a personal and collective symbolism. It mirrors the feeling of awe, beauty, despair, fear and welt-schmerz (the suffering caused by existence per se). Landscape may be the equivalent of the dream reign, the unconscious, the non-conformist mind.
The fluid outlook on the outer world , is again a firm witness of Change.

Next afterthoughts – On Maribor , Latvia, the university , an ethic approach and design issues.

The Israeli friends are invited again to look at the workshop on the teachings of Sufism, at the Center.

Wishing all my friends the best.

Yours,

About Dr. Dorit Kedar

Forced to continuously change nations, cultures and schooling - I had to develop a wider sense of communication, a way of thinking-feeling-behaving which stresses the common denominators. The need to adapt new landscapes and land-souls has taught instinctive means to overcome separatism, prejudices, dogmatic beliefs and suspicions. While looking for the common gathering denominators, I have also increased the ability of perception and individuation. Being constantly in estranged places has triggered psychological processes to turn the unfamiliar into familiar. As an art critic in the Israeli press, a curator, a writer - have always dealt with the otherness, the different and the infinite variety of the Existent. My Book of Peace is the result.
