The Message of Christmas and the issue of world terror
This short essay wishes to all the Friends of The Center of Inter-religious Peace, a message of Christmas- Birth and Rebirth, Hope, and Inner Salvation.
Daily Bread hopefully will consist of learning how to counteract effects of territorialism, control and impulse, forcefully inter-dependent and inter-related.
All three aspects intensify the illusionary ego by inducing it to believe that it stands as the center of the world while, actually, the related energies entrap and imprison the ego, as it becomes more and more dependent on the world.
Territorialism lulls the ego, manipulated by its artificial self-definition, avoiding the possibility to experience Life, beyond the conceptual frontiers. The blind ego is consequently impoverished and unable to realize the human quest to discover the Unknown by enhancing self-creativity.
Control impedes understanding and experiencing the basic cosmic nature – Temporality. Nothing pertains to anyone forever. A mature mind cuts its own energetic umbilical cord by overcoming a habitual self-reference and conversely – acknowledging that all things come and go. Instead of control, the mature mind practices adaptability and flexibility. Thereafter, the infinite secrets of the Unknown may become a fresh source of Inspiration.
Impulse is formed by deep-seated stimuli – anger, anxiety, guilt, insult, jealousy… all of them keep rumbling in a closed mental space, preventing oxygenation of the New. The value of passivity is vital as an effective silencer of the inner noise. A pacified mind can face and confront external turbulence by not being subdued by it.
The process of individuation ensued after abolishment of territorialism, control and impulse, may be an effective mental and spiritual tool- to avoid contact with the violent herd effect. The evolved individual, free of any herd symptoms, can become a Warrior of Peace, armed by will, temperance, deep observation, humbleness, perspective a sense of communion with all sentient beings, courage and intelligent activism.
